| MAU;ALB

Microalbuminuria (MAU) refers to the presence of small amounts of albumin in urine that are detectable by sensitive assays but not by conventional dipstick tests. The glomerular capillary basement membrane normally functions as a selective filter with pore diameters of approximately 5.5 nm. Since albumin molecules circulating in blood have a diameter of 7.2 nm, healthy kidneys prevent their passage into urine through both size-selective and charge-selective barriers.

| Recovery

The recovery of Rat MAU;ALB spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

| Linearity

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Rat MAU;ALB and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
